Melanie has been intrigued by leadership and team relationships since her kindergarten years when she informed her mother “you are not the boss of me, I am the boss of me, and I choose to listen to you.” This led to great conversations and a persistent curiosity which influenced her observations from her earliest restaurant management jobs to her education and career focused on the people side of business.

With close to 20 years of professional and consulting experience in Organizational Development, Human Resources and Employee Relations, Melanie improves workplaces and moves organizations forward. Combining intuitive organizational awareness with heart and humour Melanie quickly builds connections and uncovers team and organization needs.  She is a communication catalyst, helping individuals, teams and leaders reclaim vital human connection skills for brighter results and work and beyond.

Melanie is a graduate of the University of Guelph and a member of the Human Resource Professionals Association (HRPA) and the Institute for Performance and Learning. She is a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), has training from the Canadian Organization Development Institute (CODI), and has earned her Master’s Certificate in Adult Training and Development from Schulich Executive Education Centre at York University. Melanie is an experienced Trainer and Facilitator, a certified Emotional Intelligence EQ-i 2.0 Coach and Actionable Conversations Consulting Partner.
